White Peaks, Two Time Zones: The Story Behind the Trekker GMT Summit White

A Watch That Starts the Day

Some watches are built for the dark. The Summit White is built for first light.

When I picture this watch, I picture the top of a mountain right as the sun comes up: everything clean, bright, and sharp. That is the feeling we chased with the Summit White. A classic white dial, a polished steel case, and a day/night ceramic bezel that tells you where the rest of your world is the second you look down. You will reach for it every morning.

Where the Summit White Came From

The Trekker collection has always been about going places. A GMT is the most practical complication I know for that. It tracks a second time zone, so home is always on your wrist, wherever you land.

With the Day/Night Ceramic Trekker, we wanted the bezel to do more of the work. Split the 24 hours into day and night, and you can read the second time zone at a glance instead of doing math at the gate. Once that bezel was right, I knew it needed a bright, open dial to sit next to. White was the answer.

White dials are harder than they look. Every detail shows. The indices, the hands, the date window, and the finishing all have to be clean, because there is nowhere to hide. That is exactly why I love it. A white dial is honest, and this one is about as honest as a watch gets.

Inside the Summit White

The bezel. A day/night ceramic bezel, 60 clicks, bidirectional. Track a second time zone and read day or night in one look.

The dial. Classic summit white with hand-applied indices and a date window at 3. The indices are layered with BGW9 Swiss Luminova, so the dial stays readable after the sun goes down.

The case. 316L stainless steel, dual-polished with chamfered edges, 42mm across and just 12mm tall. That is slim for an automatic GMT carrying a ceramic bezel, so it slides under a cuff instead of fighting it.

The crystal. High-grade sapphire with a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coating. No glare to fight.

The movement. A Swiss GMT automatic with 25 jewels and a 56-hour power reserve.

The back and crown. A skeleton case back to show the movement at work, and a screw-down crown, water resistant to 100 meters.

Two Ways to Wear It

Stainless Steel. Bright, polished, and ready for the boardroom or the airport. This is the full Summit White look, and you will love how it catches the light.

Black Silicone. A sharp contrast against the white dial, and ready for a long day outside.
