Movement Specs

100% Swiss Made. Caliber 5040.D, 13 Jewel gold plated Swiss 1/10th of a second chronograph with date, fully adjustable hands, 3-5 year battery life, with EOL indicator.

EOL stands for End Of Life indicator. This is the function showing when the battery of the movement needs to be changed.

The seconds hand will then remain still for five seconds and jump to the next minute marker, and repeat that pattern until the battery is changed.

Subdials include:

  • 1/10 second
  • 30-minute counter
  • 10-hour counter

Case & Crown

Three-piece case in surgical grade 316L stainless steel, left bright so the steel plays against the black bezel and the black registers on the dial. The bezel is knurled and finished in black, secured with black screws, a tool-watch detail rather than a dress-watch one.

A screw-down case-back seals the Swiss caliber 5040.D, and the crown screws down as well. Together they take the GX1 to 200 meters, 660 feet, of water resistance.

Black sword-shaped hour and minute hands are inlaid with BGW9 Swiss Luminova, matched by lume on the hand-applied indexes, so the dial stays readable once the light drops. An orange central chronograph hand sweeps the registers, and the date sits at four o'clock.

    My diving Watch

    This LIV watch the aqua chronological dive. Watch is simply amazing. Have to say it is the most I’ve spent on a watch, but I don’t need a brightling an aviator watch or anything that nature I can tell you it is well worth a smaller investment! First off it is amazingly attractive and I love LIVs logo, and by name! So happy I made this purchase can’t wait to use it for deep diving! Above pros and praise is all I can express at the moment! There are no cons other than the small amount of time it will take to figure this beast out and get it set exactly how I want it to be. With this in my dive computer, I cannot foresee. Any issues in the redundancy is obviously going to be a big +2! I am so looking forward to getting this baby wet and going for a deep dive.

    Liv, you have a new fan in me. I will definitely be following your releases thanks so much for the hat! That was not expected and very appreciated. Hoping you have shirts and a core stickers cause you know man a guy can’t have enough of the hats and the shirts, and definitely want to promote you on the back of my truck! Be well, LIV well!

    This was my third GX1. For the first two, I opted for the bracelet and wasn't sure about the silicone watch band, but after receiving it, I was impressed and subsequently bought the Cactus Grey with the silicone band.
