Flown by Colonel James D. Mayden, commanding officer of the famed 352nd Fighter Group in World War II, the original “StrawBoss” had already carved its place in the skies before disaster struck. After the first aircraft was lost in an accident, Mayden refused to let the spirit of his trusted machine fade.

A new Mustang rolled onto the airfield: sleek, lethal, and waiting to be claimed. With a stroke of determination, he christened it “StrawBoss 2”—a resurrection of both name and purpose, a symbol that neither setbacks nor war could silence.

    I purchased a Goldfinger (His) about a week ago.

    When it arrived I showed it to my wife and she said I WANT ONE.!!!!!

    So of course I jumped at the chance to make her happy.

    Great Addition to My P-51 Collection

    I just received the latest addition to my LIV Collection...the P-51 Pilot Goldfinger.

    While I prefer the larger sizes this one is perfect...and with the croco embossed leather strap with

    the rivets at the ends the only way to describe it is WOW!

    And Thanks Ernest for obtaining # 21 for me...my birthday!
