A tribute to the P-51 Mustang and the aviators who made it legend, the Petie 2nd carries that spirit in a sandblasted high-grade titanium case that stays light on the wrist and built to endure. A luminous silver sunburst dial catches the light, its hand-applied indexes filled with BGW9 Super-LumiNova and finished with bold blue accents. Inside beats a Swiss ETA 7750 automatic chronograph with 25 jewels, a day and date display, a 42-hour minimum power reserve, and certified accuracy of +/- 5 seconds per day. Limited to 1,000 pieces across its lifetime production, with a deployant buckle included.

Having both watches side by side, the Rolex Deepsea is obviously the more prestigious piece, but the LIV has a personality that I really appreciate. The design is much more unique, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing the same watch everyone recognizes from across the room.
What surprised me most is how well the LIV holds its own. The dial is easy to read, the build quality feels solid, and it's just a fun watch to wear. The Rolex is the watch I respect, but the LIV is often the one I reach for because it's different and doesn't take itself too seriously.
If the Rolex is about heritage and status, the LIV is about enjoying the watch for what it is. For the money, it's hard not to be impressed with what LIV delivers.
