Flown by Colonel James D. Mayden, commanding officer of the famed 352nd Fighter Group in World War II, the original “StrawBoss” had already carved its place in the skies before disaster struck. After the first aircraft was lost in an accident, Mayden refused to let the spirit of his trusted machine fade.

A new Mustang rolled onto the airfield: sleek, lethal, and waiting to be claimed. With a stroke of determination, he christened it “StrawBoss 2”—a resurrection of both name and purpose, a symbol that neither setbacks nor war could silence.

    So glad I pulled the trigger!!

    I almost feel bad for my other watches now, since they will most likely stay in the case from here on out.

    This watch not only looks great in all situations, but I barely feel it most of the time. I had at 3 different friends, one of whom is not really a watch guy, make comments about it the first day I wore it. Not to mention later on, after the sun went down, they thought the Lume looked killer... and as you can see in the picture, it definitely does.

    Truly a work of art that I am proud to wear on my wrist and promote to the top of my watch case!! If you're on the fence about this one... don't be. It is absolutely worth it!!
