ETA Valjoux 7750

This watch runs on the ETA Valjoux 7750, the Swiss automatic chronograph movement that has powered more serious chronographs than any other. Built for pilots and racers, it's known worldwide for durability and easy servicing.

The 7750 has 25 jewels and beats at 28,800 vph. That gives it a smooth, sweeping seconds hand and lets the chronograph measure to 1/8 of a second. It times events up to 12 hours with its 30-minute and 12-hour counters, and it shows both the day and the date. Its cam-lever system gives the pushers their firm, mechanical feel. The power reserve is about 48 hours when fully wound.

Every movement is individually tested before casing and ships with its own accuracy certificate, certified to ±5 seconds per day.

The 2.0 dial is treated in a deep, oceanic blue that shifts in the light, anchored by blue-accented indexes and matching rings circling the 12 and 6 o'clock subdials. The date window picks up the same blue frame, tying the face together. Above it all, the newly enlarged hour and minute hands are heat-treated to a rich blue and packed with BGW9 Swiss Super-Luminova, glowing clean and bright long after the sun goes down.

Sapphire Crystal, Front and Back

Both crystals are synthetic sapphire, rated 9 out of 10 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond. Keys, zippers, and desk edges won't scratch either side.

The anti-reflective coating goes on the inside only, front and back. Outer coatings smudge and wear, so the surfaces you touch stay pure sapphire. You get a glare-free view of the dial and the movement.
