Movement Specs

100% Swiss Made. Caliber 5040.D, 13 Jewel gold plated Swiss 1/10th of a second chronograph with date, fully adjustable hands, 3-5 year battery life, with EOL indicator.

EOL stands for End Of Life indicator. This is the function showing when the battery of the movement needs to be changed.

The seconds hand will then remain still for five seconds and jump to the next minute marker, and repeat that pattern until the battery is changed.

Subdials include:

  • 1/10 second
  • 30-minute counter
  • 10-hour counter

Case & Crown

Three pieces of surgical grade 316L stainless steel, finished in black IP the whole way around, bezel included, so the blue on the dial has somewhere to land. That bezel is knurled in LIV's machine-cut pattern with the screws left proud of the surface, borrowed from tool watches rather than dress watches.

The case-back screws down over the Swiss caliber 5040.D and the crown screws down over the stem, the latter carrying the LIV logo enamel inlay. Sealed at both ends, the GX1 is rated to 200 meters, 660 feet.

    Exactly what I hoped for

    I loved the speed and attention to detail in the ordering, shipping and unboxing experience. Being a watch nerd (this is no. 21), I couldn't resist the 10ths-of-a-second feature. My only wish would be for better night visibility.

    Having said that, this watch is an incredible value for price. I may even buy another at some point.

    Great watch, greater service and communication

    Great communication with LIV team to get the watch and band I wanted. Sized it perfectly. Fits great! Weight is perfect. Keeps very accurate time. Already received a ton of compliments. Will definitely do more business with LIV. Highly recommend LIV!!!!
